20 Years Inside. Now in Your Corner.

After two decades climbing the dealership ranks from sales consultant to General Sales Manager, I saw exactly how the industry maximizes profit at the buyer's expense. Today, I've flipped the script. As an independent car buying advocate, I use that 'inside' knowledge to dismantle hidden fees, audit contracts, and ensure that you will never overpay for a vehicle again. -Ed Schill

Mission Statement

I've spent over 20 years inside the car dealership, not selling from the outside looking in, but sitting in nearly every seat in the building. I started in sales, then moved into internet sales and BDC (business development) when dealerships were first figuring out how to bring the internet in-house. From there I moved into finance, then sales manager, and eventually general sales manager. I've seen this industry evolve from the 4-square worksheet to the internet department to now, Artificial Intelligence. Through all of it, one thing hasn't changed: profit is still the focal point at the heart of every dealership. The same tools that were supposed to level the playing field for the customer, the internet, transparent pricing, now AI, are the same tools now being used to squeeze more revenue out of every profit center in the building. I know, because I helped build it.

A few years ago, I was at a dealership with my wife, working through the numbers on our own purchase. We were doing great, we knew what to ask for and weren't afraid to push back. A few desks away, there was a woman sitting by herself. She was completely at the mercy of the dealership. They had complete control of the deal. No one with her, nothing to compare it to, too polite to push back on anything being presented. I watched the deal happen in real time and knew exactly what was being done to her, number by number. I couldn't step in that day, it wasn't my place. But I walked out knowing I didn't want to just walk away from moments like that anymore.

That's why I started this service. Not only to help people save money on the day of the purchase, but to protect them from the kind of deal that follows you home, upside-down eventually, negative equity, payments that don't match what you were told. You told yourself going in you weren't going to sign for a penny more than what your budget would comfortably allow, yet you find yourself driving home questioning every decision, wondering why you signed for such a high payment. I sit down with you, and I stay with you, through price, trade-in, and financing, until you drive away. My job is to make sure you leave with a deal you understand and a decision you can stand behind, not questioning your judgement, peace of mind.

You shouldn't need 20 years in the industry to get treated fairly at a dealership. Since you don't have that, I do it for you.

20+ Years of Dealership Experience — Every Seat, Every Side of the Desk

  • Sales Consultant — Learned the floor from the ground up: the 4-square worksheet, negotiation tactics, and how a deal gets built number by number.
  • Internet Sales Manager — Ran online lead conversion as dealerships shifted from walk-in traffic to internet shoppers, learning how digital pricing and lead-routing tools were used to steer buyers.
  • BDC Manager (Business Development Center). Managed customer outreach, appointment setting, and follow-up systems — the behind-the-scenes engine that fills the showroom.
  • Sales Manager — Oversaw deal structuring and desking, approving numbers before they ever reached the customer.
  • Finance Manager — Sat on the other side of the finance office, structuring loan terms, rates, and aftermarket products — the last stop where most of a dealership's back-end profit is made.
  • General Sales Manager — Ran full dealership sales operations, profit centers, and staff, responsible for the numbers every other role in this list feeds into.

Today: I use that full-circle view, front to back, floor to finance office, to sit on your side of the desk instead.
